Dummy for babies?

Dear SG,

Should we get a dummy for the baby? Now you must be wondering why would a baby need a dummy? But if I tell you dummy is just a pet name in NZ for the word "Pacifier", does it makes more sense now? ;)

with love from NZ,
j

why the thought?

some babies may not want it. D doesnt, he prefers his thumb, which is a worse evil compared to the dummy. its harder to kick...

some kids will outgrow a dummy or the thumb in a few years... D kicked his at 2 yrs old..

We bought the Dummy out of desperation, for 2 nights in a row, Karen has been keeping us up for 2 hourly feed. We thought she might just wanna suckle on something. But she totally refuse the dummy. I think it might have been a growth sprout period....

Anyone wants 2 new dummies?
